DIYARBAKIR-HUDA PAR Deputy Chairman M. Hüseyin Yılmaz visited the tradesmen and the public whose workplace damaged by the PKK’s attack in the district of Bağlar in Diyarbakır.

After the visit, Yılmaz explained to the press members that the attack was not independent from the referendum to be held on April 16th.

Emphasizing that no one has the right to disrupt the peace of the people, Yılmaz said, “It is seen that there is a big explosion when you look at the pit and the surrounding ruins. Thank to Allah there is no many loss of life. There is no loss of life, except for minor injuries in our shopkeepers. I hope it will be the last and there will not be any such explosions again. This type of bombing action only give damage to this people. Damage to the Kurdish people, the Kurdish trades are damaging. This needs to be well known and we need to take steps accordingly. Nobody has the right to disturb the peace of our city.”

“This attack is not independent from the referendum on April 16”

Yılmaz emphasized that the attack was not independent from the referendum on April 16, “We say ‘YES’ in the referendum to prevent those kid of attacks, and the peace of Kurdish people to not be disturbed. We need a new Turkiye, a new constitution from scratch. We say ‘YES’ because it is likely stronger that the Kurds' basic human and Islamic rights to be given with a new constitution and with the new system. But if it says 'no', the organization will continue these explosions and disturb of our people’s peace will continue. The violence is not the method of seeking the right. In our opinion, this attack is also is not independent from the referendum on April 16. The organization wants to generate a fear atmosphere.”

“At this point we are the followers of Kurds' rights”

“This explosion was under the buildings rather than in the empty spaces. If there were much more casualties and loss of life, the organization would be able to say, ‘look I am more powerful, I can carry out the desired action in any place I want’. There is a possibility to use this as a maneuver to regain the diminishing support. There is a referendum on 16th April. If the HDP in the referendum say 'no' with the call of organization and Qandil, it means come and bomb every day, put a bomb everywhere, break my peace, go on bombing. But if ‘yes’ come forwards, it will be a support that given to peace. If ‘yes’ come from the polls, we will be the followers of Kurdish rights and followers of our people in this point as HUDA PAR legally. We will demand these rights with legal means. There are civilian methods. Civil means should be used for the people not to be damaged because this form is risking our people both life and property security and our people become victims.”
